Wesley Fofana has defended team-mate Kylian Mbappe after he was reported to have been at a nightclub on the night France played Israel in the Nations League.
Mbappe suffered an injury last month but made a quicker recovery than expected and played in Real Madrid’s Champions League defeat to Lille on October 2 and again against Villarreal last weekend.
That has led to criticism of the forward, who has been absent from the France squad despite playing for his club. Aftonbladet
has also reported that Mbappe was spotted at a Stockholm nightclub while his country was playing Israel, sparking further criticism. However, fellow countryman Fonana believes Mbappe can do whatever he wants in his free time and suggests the media is making a big deal out of it. “People do whatever they want in their free time. That’s not what we’re talking about today.
I haven’t heard anything about it,” Fofana told สมัคร ufabet. “He does what he wants. He’s a great guy, a great professional. Do we take that too seriously? I don’t know. He’s the best French player. It’s normal for it to become such a big story,” he said. “I think sometimes the media crosses the line, you should ask Kylian for more information.” Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi echoed the sentiment when speaking to the media. “We have no doubts about Kylian… There’s no question about his passion. He loves his country, he will continue to help us. We have to stop talking about it too much. He has a day off, he can do what he wants.”
